ENVIRONMENTAL TIP OF THE DAY...

here ya go...

a steak might be an american institution, but it comes with a side of environmental costs...central and south american forests are being cut or burned down to provide pasture...effluent from feedlots pollutes land and waters, and each cow produces 300 liters of methade - a greenhouse gas - every day...consider reducing the amount of meat you eat (or cut it out entirely, and be a vegetarian like me :) while cows arent problematic in and of themselves, modern mass-farming methods take a toll...

so there ya go...

ciao ciao

Hey, Duke Energy in North Carolina is distributing 850 solar panels to homes, schools and other facilities.

It's a start, thought you would like to know.
